Job Summary
We are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, and revenue tracking for our staffing business. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in billing cycles, client invoicing, payroll finance, and statutory compliance, with a clear understanding of staffing revenue models.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models aligned with business targets
Track revenue vs. targets (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
Analyze profitability by client, project, and business unit
Provide strategic financial insights to leadership
2. Revenue & Billing Management
Oversee client invoicing (T&M, fixed cost, contract staffing billing)
Ensure accuracy in timesheets, billing cycles, and rate cards
Monitor collection cycles (DSO – Days Sales Outstanding)
Coordinate with sales and delivery teams for revenue realization
3. Payroll & Contractor Payments
Manage payroll processing for internal employees and deployed consultants
Ensure timely salary payouts and contractor/vendor payments
Handle incentive and commission calculations (recruiters/sales teams)
4. Accounts & Financial Reporting
Maintain books of accounts (AP, AR, GL)
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Conduct variance analysis and cost control
Ensure accurate revenue recognition
5. Compliance & Taxation
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and labor laws
Handle audits (internal and external)
Manage statutory filings and documentation
Stay updated with financial regulations impacting staffing businesses
6. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Monitor cash flow and liquidity position
Optimize working capital (receivables vs payables)
Plan fund allocation for payroll-heavy staffing operations
7. Vendor & Client Financial Coordination
Manage financial contracts and payment terms with clients
Coordinate with vendors for billing and reconciliation
Resolve disputes related to invoices and payments
8. Leadership & Process Improvement
Build scalable finance processes for growing staffing operations
Lead and mentor finance/accounting team
Implement automation tools (ERP, billing systems, payroll software)
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of staffing business models (contract, permanent, RPO)
Expertise in billing cycles, invoicing, and revenue tracking
Knowledge of Indian taxation (GST, TDS) and labor compliance
Proficiency in accounting tools (Tally, SAP, Zoho, QuickBooks, etc.)
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
MBA Finance
Experience in IT or Non-IT staffing companies
Exposure to high-volume payroll and contractor management
