We are looking for an experienced AUTOSAR MCAL Test Lead / Senior Test Engineer to manage and execute testing and validation activities for AUTOSAR-based MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer) device drivers. The role requires strong expertise in ISO 26262 Functional Safety and ASPICE compliance, ensuring high-quality, safety-critical automotive software.
Perform testing and validation of AUTOSAR MCAL device drivers
Review software requirements and derive test specifications & test cases
Ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases, and results
Define and implement test strategy & quality assurance plans for:
MCAL
CDD (Complex Device Drivers)
ECU software (AUTOSAR & Non-AUTOSAR)
Execute unit, integration, system, and regression testing
Drive test activities in compliance with ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards
Identify, analyze, and track defects using defect management tools
Support audits, reviews, and safety assessments
Mentor junior test engineers (for Test Lead role)
Collaborate with development, system, and safety teams
3–6 years of experience in AUTOSAR MCAL testing & validation
Strong understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and MCAL layers
Hands-on experience testing MCAL device drivers (DIO, ADC, PWM, SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, GPT, ICU, WDG, etc.)
Experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety processes
Strong knowledge of ASPICE test processes & compliance
Expertise in test case design, execution, and reporting
Good understanding of ECU software testing (AUTOSAR & Non-AUTOSAR)
Familiarity with requirement management and traceability tools
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Experience in HIL / SIL / MIL testing
Knowledge of Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, DaVinci)
Experience with automation testing frameworks
Exposure to safety audits and OEM quality processes
Knowledge of embedded C programming
Work on automotive safety-critical software projects
Exposure to global OEM & Tier-1 standards
Strong focus on quality, safety, and process excellence
