SOX Work Evidence Collection Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT SOX Analyst with a strong IT background and hands-on experience in IT General Controls (ITGC). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software development processes, SOX compliance requirements, and evidence collection for ITGC testing. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Internal Audit (IA), and application teams across global time zones.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct and support SOX ITGC assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, and application owners to evaluate and enhance existing processes.

Perform evidence collection, documentation review, and testing activities for ITGC controls.

Partner with IT and development teams to identify gaps, recommend process improvements, and support remediation efforts.

Assist in maintaining SOX documentation, process maps, and control matrices.

Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple time zones to ensure timely completion of SOX activities.

Provide guidance on IT risks, controls, and compliance best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong IT background with an understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Solid knowledge of SOX compliance and ITGC frameworks.

Experience handling ITGC evidence collection, walkthroughs, and control testing.

Hands-on experience working with Compliance, Internal Audit, and various IT/application teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage tasks across global time zones.
Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CISA, CIA, or similar (optional but a plus).

Experience in internal audits, risk assessments, or compliance projects.

Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools.
